ABRAKO - KORFEBOL BRASILEIRO

A key feature of the Brazilian KORFEBOL is not Physical Contact permission (for example, the jostling and too aggressive play), while the rest of the world, the sport is practiced with the permission of "moderate physical contact." For the promoters of the Brazilian KORFEBOL, this difference makes the overseas practiced sport presents a hostile sport and makes the game becomes much done, "in search of competition and the formation of" athletes "the main objective of this sport . Something that is not consistent with the history and the integrating and hospitable culture of the Brazilian people.

So it was created ABRAKO - Association Korfebol Brazilian, currently totally independent of the International Korfball Federation, which has been linked by 2012, at which time there was a "turning table" by a group of "former students" Professor Marcelo Soares, who allied himself with a group of dissidents in São Paulo, who felt displaced from work focused on social and educational issues that Professor Marcelo Soares always practiced.

These groups resolved to mancomunar with the entity that runs the sport as well and also with representatives of the Portuguese Federation of korfball in a desperate attempt to remove Professor Marcelo Soares, the "Representation of Korfball" in Brazil.

But who knows personally the work carried out (since 1998) by Soares, knows he does not give up so easy even says in his lectures, which are even more motivated to spread the game throughout the country, without the worry of conduct championships and free that little policy to commit time and resources only in training athletes and make the game be Olympic sport.

The sport as a citizenship and cultural affirmation building tool is the great fundatório shaft KORFEBOL Brazilian, this, much more aligned to the principles of integration and participation of all, like Professor Nico Broekhuysen taught and in 1902 in the Netherlands.
